Sales Notification, also called “Customer Also Bought” creates urgency and allows you to show your visitors that other customers already are buying from your store. It creates social proof & trust that your store needs among new store visitors.
A brand new store, that doesn’t have a well-established brand yet, visitors might hesitate to buy from your store. This causes cart abandonment.
This is when the sales notifications come in handy to improve conversion and encourage the visitors to buy by creating urgency.
In this article, I will show you how to add a random Sales Notification to your store without any application and COMPLETELY FREE.

I have prepared a ready & fully customizable section so you can just add it to your theme and customize it as you want. I just wanna make your lives easier.
# STEP 1:
Copy/Paste the code below or download it to your local machine.
Download it from here.
# STEP 2:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Find the theme you want to edit, and then click Actions > Edit code.
- In the Sections directory, click “Add a new section”.
- File the name on the popup, and hit “Done”.
- Copy the code above and paste it into the new section. Then click “Save”.
#STEP 3:
In the top-left corner, click on the three dots … and select “Customize theme” as in the picture below.
On the page opened, scroll to the bottom of the left sidebar until the end.
- Click on “Add section”.
- Search for “Sales Notification”.
- Click on the result shown.
#STEP 4:
Now all you need to do is to customize your notification, I made everything ready for you. I will let you discover it yourselves so I do not ruin it.
